Insomnia is the mother of all sufferings

Before I hit the sack, it's 5.26am, 23 Oct 2013. I haven't sleep a wink yet though I was trying very hard to.

How did I spent this whole night?

You could ask my mom, my husband and my cat. Oh, my cat is still awake with me. Thanks god. Just fed the cat his breakfast. Will try to sleep now.

Fuck Duck is my new buzz word. Geddit?

Being a veteran insomnia queen, here are so useful tips for you on how to spend long sleepless hours (if you have insomnia and just want to stay awake at night for whatever reason)

Top 10 Tips For Insomnia (How to spend your lonely, sleepless night)

1. Write a blog
2. Clean up your email
3. Deactivate your Facebook notifications if you have been receiving notifications from friends on Farmville, and other annoying games that you do not want to play.
4. Do some housekeeping
5. Mop the floor
6. Clean your dressing table
7. Think about your future
8. Plan your next holiday
9. Go through your calendar for important appointments and dates
10. Go read somebody's blog such as www.rojakgal.blogspot.com

Okay, that's all for now. Hope you have learnt something.

Good night or Good morning. (Don't pull your hairs if you are reading this, :P Well, it's time for me to go for my morning jog. Stay calm and healthy!)

One week in Sydney - Day 3 & 4

DAY 3

We went to Bondi beach first thing in the morning. Woohoo....It's so vibrant and happening here!

Check out those hot bikini girls! =)

And the not-so-hot Chinese girl who was in the wrong attire for the beach.
I was expecting a cold weather le. =( #fail

With the Chinese man who was attired to visit a Safari.

A closed up bikini shot. Hehe

Gotta salute these people because the water was icy old.

  Lunch at Hurricane's Grill, again.
Their lamb cutlets was delicious!

Jaw-dropping view @  Bondi Icebergs Club, Bondi Beach
I didn't know this place existed and just stumbled into it while taking our stroll from Bondi Beach to Bronte.

Our cocktails @  Bondi Icebergs Club, Bondi Beach

After getting a bit tipsy from the cocktails, we started our coastal walk from
from Bondi beach to Bronte. Initially, I wanted to go all the way to Coogee beach but we didn't have enough time.

My AUS$7 glittery silver flip flop that I bought from Bondi beach.
Tips: If you are planning to do the coastal walk, it's better to wear a pair of good shoes. I was in my wedge high-heel sneakers that day so this was my next best option.

We spotted a group of dolphins along our walk, so excited!!! This is my first time seeing dolphin in their natural habitat.

 Awesome and very pretty sushis.
@Kingyo, Westfield Bondi Junctions

When are we gonna have this standard of sushi in Malaysia?

The sterilizer to keep the sushi fresh. Awesome technology

@ Chemist Warehouse, Bondi Junction
I almost went crazy here because their supplements and fragrances are unbelievably cheap.

To give you an idea of how cheap they are, here are some of their prices:

CK One 200ml - @AUS$26.99
Elizabeth Arden Fifth Avenue 125ml @AUS$34.99

Can you believe it?!
#NevergonnabuyfragrancesinMalaysiaanymore.

You can even check out the prices at their website. The prices change every few weeks.

DAY 4

A selfie inside the train

 Spotted another Chemist Warehouse. Woohoo!!!
@ Chemist Warehouse, Blacktown

 While waiting for the bus

The Featherdale Wildlife Park

We finally reached the Featherdale Wildlife after 1.5 hour journey by train and bus!

 The cute wombat!!!!!

There is a "I bite" sign here but I was willing to take the risk Hehe

I think this is a wallaby.
So cute even from the back. He was looking into somebody's cage. Lol

Le peacock

Le sleepy owl.
Owls are supposed to sleep during the day so I guess that's why he is so sleepy.

The animal harasser
Lol..I can't stop myself from touching all the animals here. This zoo is so fun because most of the animals roam freely and you are free to pet them.

Le handsome koala,
looking like an aristocrat here.

Caught a furry chicken. Hehe
Super love this chicken because she is so tame and her fur is like a Persian cat.

The aunty who have been harassing the wildlife in the Featherdale Wildlife Park

I was petting this koala and he suddenly jerked and gave me this look. I guessed he was pissed off my me.

I enjoyed myself so much at this zoo. It was just a small zoo but it's overloaded with cuteness.
Australian's wildlife rocks! Can't believe that even a chicken can be cute. Lol

Next is the Blue Mountains!

Finally reached the Katoomba station after about 1.5 hours journey from Featherdale. From Katoomba station, we took a bus to the Blue Mountains.

Ta-dah!! The Blue Mountains with the 3 sisters

Tips: If you like nature, I would suggest that you stay a night in Katoomba or Leura Village. In my case, I didn't get enough out Blue Mountains that day so I went back for the second time a few days later for the Giant stairway walk and to visit Leura Village. Totally worth the 5 hours return journey. Shall share more in the next post.

Tram @ Scenic World
This tram was really exciting because it was almost vertical, just like a roller coaster but slower.
The ride was really short though for just about 10 minutes for a return trip.

a Thai restaurant @ Katoomba Town
After 4 days in Sydney, this was our favourite meal!
Nothing beats the hot steamy rice and spicy foods in the cold weather.

After dinner was a long 2.5 hours journey back to Sydney city. Huhuhu.

By the way, you have seen me in cardigan, sweater and boots in these photos but everyone here are actually wearing summer clothes, except us! Remember those bikini girls at Bondi?

Just see what I have packed for this trip:

And here's what I bought from this trip...hehe

Read raving reviews on these paw paw balm so I got two.
Totally awesome and cheap product so guess I won't be buying another tube of M.A.C lip conditioner.

After a few days in Sydney, I noticed that there are lots of foreigner here, from Nepal, Japan, Italy and so-on. Some of these people here are really chirpy, like over-the-top chirpy. Haha. Something that I don't see in Malaysia.

Stay tuned for my day 5, 6 & 7 in Sydney. Gonna blog soon, I hope!

Great day everyone!

One week in Sydney - Day 1 & 2

Since I have been to Melbourne, I wasn't too excited to come to Sydney because I thought it would be less exciting than Melbourne. I was so wrong! You'll see why.

DAY 1

My first stop is eh..a sex shop. To clarify, it's just because this shop is right opposite our breakfast place.=P
Even though you are not horny or kinky, you can always visit such shop to marvel and go ohhs and ahhs with the plethora of sex toys that they offer.

@ Risque Adult Boutique, near King Cross Station

Yeah, it's a double-storey sex shop.

After some kinky stuff, it's time for a hearty breakfast!

Sad to say that most coffees in Sydney pale in comparison to the ones in Melbourne.

Next is the Sydney Tower!

Absolutely amazing views.

Baby Sara

Met my sister Elle Macpherson at the entrance of Sydney Tower.

The Sydney Tower from afar

Sydney Tower
Price: AUS$26 (walk-in), cheaper if you book online

@ Pitt Street, heaven for the shopaholics.

@ Coles supermarket
Super love their juices especially this brand called Nudie. They are very kaw and taste delicious.

Stocked up some fresh fruits and veges. This is important to counter constipation during travelling. =)

DAY 2

Started our day really early in the morning to join the whale watching cruise. If you are a marine life lover, go for it. Otherwise, I guess you won't be impressed and most probably you will get seasick too because the water are choppy.

This is what we saw

versus

what we expected:
The cruise price is AUS$63.95/pax if you are booking online.

After a choppy 3-hour cruise, we were off to the Sydney Fish Market. You must absolutely eat the fresh oysters here, they are super super fresh. Try out the Doyle's fish and chips here too, they are famous. Too bad I don't have a photo.

Cheesy lobster and coke for me
@ Fish Market

@ Fish Market

@ Darling Harbour

 @ Pyrmont Bridge

It was a good hair day! Even after all the crazy wind during our cruise in the morning.

Shopping time! @ Queen Victoria Building
Some said that it is one of the most beautiful mall in the world.

Sydney is full of colourful snails, like this one.

Chocolateria San Churro @ Harbourside Shopping Centre
Not very nice but can try.

Amazing night view of the harbour
@ Hurricane's Grill, Harbourside Shopping Centre

Their famous pork rib @ Hurricane's Grill, Harbourside Shopping Centre
You should wear a really loose pant if you intend to finish this on your own.

Tips: Remember to make a booking if you wanna come here because it's very full.

Lovely night view @ Darling Harbour

Saw a mickey mouse at the train station.

My loots for the day. About AUS$5-7 each because they are on sale. =)

So that's all for my Day 1 and 2 in Sydney. Stay tuned for more!
