Sipadan Water Village Resort

Hi people! Here's the post on my trips to Sipadan.

My first visit was back in 2008 (already 5 years ago!)
Here's my accommodation back then.

This is supposedly the entrance of our backpacker's lodge at Mabul Island. The name of the lodge is called Arung Hayat as written on the wooden door. Hehe..looks terrible, right? It's actually a lot better than what it seems. My friend said that it's looks like a jamban (toilet) more than a lodge. It's super cheap though, it's only RM60/nite which is inclusive of all meals.

Here's a better photo:

In front of our rooms. This looks a lot livable than the previous photo right? There were turtles swimming around from time to time.

I can do this all day, swinging my legs at the porch while facing the sea and  watching passing boats/turtles.

We decided to go for the 2nd trip because AirAsia was having free tickets promo then and the return tickets to Tawau was only RM73 nett! We then book the resort during Matta fair and the diving + accommodation + meal rate was RM2058/pax for 5 days 4 night.

Here's the photos at Sipadan Water Village Resort.

We have arrived! The resort staff warmly greeted us upon arrival and took this photo for us.

Foods are included in the package and it's buffet style. So it's important to know the meal time. ;)

Can't think of a description here.

Facial mask is a must for holiday for some pampering and to battle dehydration from travelling and sun.
I think I would look good if my skin was fairer (see the photo)

Clear water

The holiday makers - Hubby, me, shirley, james (from left to right)

 Private Jacuzzi

The grand deluxe room which we get to stay for a day.
We were living like a nomad throughout the trip, changing room everyday cause the agent messed up our booking.

The walk from the restaurant back to our room is like 1km away, and I am SERIOUS.
If you are going with the elderly, please request for rooms nearer to the restaurant.

 My dinner
Food was not bad, but not excellent either.

Evening time at the resort

We actually spent majority of our time out at the sea, diving. For some day, we actually had to wake up at 4.30am, no kidding!

This is me after hours of soaking in the sea water.  See that camera I was holding, I lost it while diving and all my precious diving photos were gone. :(
Bye bye G9, you will be missed dearly.

This photo was taken from our room. Nice or not?

Same background, with me.

This photo was taken on our last day with sunkissed skin.
After 5 days of merciless sun bathing, my skin is like 10x darker, it was already dark to begin with.

By the way, if you are interested to book, please stay clear from Oriental Grace Travel because they will mess up your booking and refuse to entertain you afterwards. Can you imagine that we booked and paid for standard room and to our horror, we were given Junior cottage room (the cheapest room) upon check in.

Bye bye!

Getting Pregnant: What to expect

I am not pregnant, yet.

I am into the second month of the trying and the anticipation is killing me. It's a pretty exciting process nevertheless. This is how I would describe my feelings.

 1) The first time when the ovulation kit is positive, you literally yelled in excitement.

 2) It's like a job, making monthly appointment with your partner on your expected ovulation days. When the ahem "job" is done, you thank your partner for the co-operation and shake hands with him for being such a good team mate.

 3) You then sleep with a smile on cause this might be IT.

 4) The first week after ovulation, it feels pretty normal.

 5) The anticipation start to kick in one week prior to next period date. You are always in the SUSPECTING mode. Then you start to google all the possible symptoms of early pregnancy. You might feel or IMAGINE exhaustion, change of food preferences, lost of appetite, feeling like you are going to get sick (and you seriously wish that these meant that you are pregnant!)

 6) You suddenly want to do all the good deeds like helping an elderly cross the deed, donates to the needy, visiting homes, etc so that you can get all the good KARMA and get pregnant easily.

 7) You are SUPER cautious on medicine and alcohol cause you think that it might affect your ovum/baby in case you are already pregnant.

 8) You CURSE when your period is late for the false alarm.

That's all for now, do you have any experience to share? Wish me luck!

Me and baby Lijer (my nephew).
Love him so much cause he is such a smiley baby. I haven't seen him for months though. :(
Hope that we can celebrate his first birthday together next month.  Both of us is born on 14 September!

Lin Dan's tattoos explained

Lin Dan has five tattoos. I am always fascinated with tattoos and hence this post.

 1. "Until the end of world" tattooed on his right upper hand, which is also the name of his autobiography. He said in his book. "Those splendid days when we (Lin Dan & his wife) fought together did exist, and the memories we shared shall continue, until the end of the world." Awwww...he is so romantic.

 2. a mirror-imaged of "FF" tattooed on his right arm, which are the capital letters of his wife nickname. Here's the video interview of him explaining the tattoo.

 4. Five stars tattooed on his left forearm. He said that each stars represents the major titles he has won in his badminton career.

5. His initials LD tattooed on the back of his neck. (can't find any photo of this though).

I wonder if he is gonna get more tattoos after this. Or maybe he has some not visible tattoos too ;).

He definitely looks more hunky now with all the new tattoos and a tan. Do you prefer his previous boyish look or the current one? Enjoy these photos!
