2-Days Retreat at Harmony Valley Retreat, Janda Baik

We just had an awesome retreat at Harmony Valley Retreat in Janda Baik last week. :)
Harmony Valley Retreat is rated as the best value in Bukit Tinggi on Booking.com
The price we paid was RM357nett for a Double Deluxe Room with a breakfast included.

Janda Baik is an ideal place for a short retreat because the weather here is chilly and it's only about 56km from where I stay or slightly more than an hour of drive from city center. The road to Harmony Valley Retreat is quite accessible as compared to some accommodations here which have very narrow road.

Here is what I like about this place:

• The public area on each floor is really spacious so that you can hangout with your group
• The staffs are very welcoming
• The view is fantastic
• They have a common balcony for you to chill on both floors.
• They had an in-house restaurant so it's really convenient

Lunch is at Restaurant Foon Lock at Kg Bukit Tinggi which is about 6km away from Harmony Valley.

We had Mediterranean chicken with rice, lemon grass chicken with rice, spaghetti & pumpkin soup.

Our breakfast which was included with the room price.

After checking out at 12.30pm, we went to check out Saufiville Resort @ Janda Baik which was about 13km away from Harmony Valley

Saufiville was one of my shortlisted place to stay but I was unable to book because the booking system in the website is not working. Here is the contact that I got when we were there :

The road to Saufiville is very bumpy and narrow so it's recommended to go with a 4-wheel drive.

Let's go to the Dusun, Negeri Sembilan!!!

It's obvious that I haven't be doing some serious blogging lately since my Laneige contest entry.

But as I am desperate for a holiday, I am gonna sell my soul and review about this getaway called the Dusun which I wanted to go badly. (Badly is an understatement)

Tadah!!! Here's the photo of the Dusun (translated to orchard in Malay) which I am talking about.

Why am I showing another 3 getaways? It's because Seeties is rolling out this awesome Getaway Treat Campaign called Outdoors and Beautiful which allows people like me and you a chance to win!! And and....it's not one or two getaways to be given away, but 10, sepuluh for you lucky ones and myself of course (Lady luck, come to me please!!!)

Why did I chose the Dusun? 

Well, as an avid traveller (having traveled numerous times covering 15 countries, 30 cities, blah blah - I am joking, you geddit right? right?), I am the most picky on the destination. Period.

I don't waste my time and money going to places with no value or interest.

Maybe I should apply for a job at this paradise. Maybe they will let me sweep the leaves, branches or to clean their pool if I tell them that I have a degree in e-Commerce.

Most importantly, this is really important, I am dead serious, is the STRATEGIC location of this place. It's just precisely 1 hour 15 mins south of KL. *Throw confetti* (can save petrol)

Sekeping Serendah Retreat

After months of advance booking (It's about 5 months to be exact - see below), we finally get to go Sekeping Serendah :D Yes, it is that difficult to book because they only have 2 glass sheds and their bookings are very full.

On our way to Serendah, we spotted this durian stall by the street and decided to return afterwards to satisfy our crave for durians.

After getting our tummy full, we visited a temple at Rawang and a waterfall nearby.

Now, back to Sekeping Serendah:

We had nasi lemak which the Serendah caretaker tarpau-ed for us

According to my mom, this must be the kampung chicken because our normal farm chicken was injected and don't have this much of fat.
Most probably it's really kampung chicken because Serendah was surrounded with the orang asli people village.

Last but not least, I think I should mention that there is no TV and phone signal here. So we were totally
back to basic for these two days. No annoying calls, no facebooking, no tweeting. :)

To summarize, I think it was a good back-to-nature retreat and we had loads of fun. =)
