How to look like Cheon Song Yi from My Love from the Star

This has to be the hottest Korean drama since Dream High. 

In this drama, Cheon Song Yi is a top Hallyu star who looks tough and mean on the outside but is actually very fragile and lonely. 

Started as child star, Song Yi was scarred and bitter when she unintentionally saw her divorced parents fighting over her custody (as she was the breadwinner of the family). Her father left them and never saw her again as he was too shameful to face Song Yi.

Restoran Korea, Ampang Hilir

My friend, Shirley has been raving about this Korean place for a while and so we decided to give it a try last Friday despite the notorious Ampang's traffic jam on a usual Friday.

Luckily, the jam wasn't that bad on that day and we managed to reach in like less than one hour from our office at Seri Kembangan.

There are a few Korean restaurants in this area so don't walk into the wrong one.

Most of the diners here are Korean.

Korean food wouldn't be complete without kimchi, bean sauce and Soju of course!
The egg wasn't in the menu but the staff there gave it to us for free. So nice of him.



This is their wall menu and it's all in Korean. It was still okay because they only have a few items on their menu.
For their main dish, it's only either pork and chicken.
For the side dishes, they have rice, noodle, mushroom, potato, etc.


Since we came with a no-pork friend, we only tried out their chicken which is really tender and smooth and it comes with loads of cabbage.

We ordered mushroom, rice and noodles for add-ons. Basically, they cook everything together using the same sauce.
Do not underestimate their noodle and rice as they really goes well in this combination.

This is the girl who have been raving about this place and this was her 3rd time here.

The bill comes to RM131 which is quite cheap for the five of us. Each of us is only RM26.

Overall, the food was good and I would definately want to come back anytime soon with my family to try out their pork.

My only complaint was their floor was a bit oily and the smell inside the restaurant is really pungent from all the cooking.

World Cup 2010

I am never a fan of football but I must say that I have enjoyed every season of World Cup.

Had Korean with my old school friends on the night of the World Cup Final.

The food :

Their side dishes are the best compared to others that I have tried so far.

Side dishes are FOC and it's also FREE to refill. This is why I love Korean food. :D

World Cup 2010: Things that I enjoyed

1. Waka waka - love the song, the dance and the mtv. Shakira is hot! I just love going to gym during this period as we'll do the waka-waka dance during the zumba class. :D

2. Watching the final. I didn't watch a single match until the final. But then, it is always exciting to join in the shouting with the crowd. :P

I've booked a table at Woodz to watch the final. It' wasn't easy to book for a table cause I was planning to go alone. The waiter (my brother) refused to take any singles reservation :(
initially. After some threatening, I finally got my reservation. :D

Taking about history, two seasons ago, WC is a money making season for me as there will be a lot of part-time jobs :P

My part-time jobs = money + being paid to hang out with your friends. :))

This round final wasn't as exciting as both team played lousily. The only excitement is the kungfu kick by the Nets. Hence, I find that my supper is more appealing that anything else:
